Mercury is an herb in the Euphorbia family. Mercury flowers from July to November in northeast U.S. and again in March to September in southwest regions of the U.S. Annual mercury is about 1' tall with small green flowers. In herbal medicine, mercury is used as an emollient. In France, this herb has been made into a syrup and used as a purge.
