BONAP (Biota of North America Program) was founded in 1969 by Dr. John Kartesz, and is located at the University of North carolina, Chapel Hill. The BONAP program has worked exclusively with PollenLibrary.com to provide a series of county-level maps indicating areas of allergy-causing biota within the United States. PollenLibrary.com is the only internet resource to have this information regarding allergies and has included relevent maps for every genus and species.
